SKY LARKS:  The social and outer planets, 2010

This "Cardinal Climax"  is underway, and runs a 7 year period,  from January  26, 2008, with Pluto's entrance into Capricorn, through March 17, 2015, with the final waxing of the Uranus-Pluto square.

Saturn opposes Uranus (November 3, 2008 - July 26, 2010);
Saturn squares Pluto (November 15, 2009-August 21, 2010);  and
Uranus squares Pluto (June 24, 2010-March 12, 2015).

1.  Jupiter and Neptune have been joined at the hip for some time.  They have now begun to separate.   Jupiter  begins 2010 at 26 Aquarius, and moves into Pisces on January 18, 2010.  Neptune begins 2010 at 24 Aquarius 36, D, and will retrograde in June at 28 Aquarius.

2.  The major pattern involving Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto is aligning.

a.)  Saturn
has had a series of oppositions with Uranus on the Virgo-Pisces polarity  on November 4, 2008; February 5, 2009; September 15, 2009.
Saturn, now in its exaltation of Libra, will retrograde on January 14, and Uranus is moving into Aries.  Two more contacts remain:
April 26, 2010      28 + Virgo-Pisces
July 26-17, 2010    0 Libra-Aries.

b.) Uranus begins 2010 at 23 Pisces 06, and will move into Aries on May 28, retrograding in July.

c.) Pluto begins 2010 at 3 Capricorn 10, and will turn Rx in April at 5 degrees. Although requiring exposure of the shadow, Pluto's shift into Capricorn, cardinal, practical Earth, will help to restructure various systems and practices.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
CHINESE ASTROLOGY:  Year of the Tiger
Chinese New Year begins at sunset following the first New Moon, after the Sun leaves Capricorn and enters the sign of Aquarius (timed for China).  In the US, the Chinese New Year begins this year on February  14, 2010. This denotes a year of optimism, determination, and initiative.

DAYLIGHT SAVING EXTENSION
The energy bill passed by Congress in the spring of 2005 extends daylight time by three weeks (starting  in 2007--two in the Spring and one in the Fall).  Standard Time resumes November 1, 2009 and runs through March 14, 2010, when Daylight Savings Time begins.
