LUNATIONS
The triumverate of the Earth, the Moon, and the Sun form a relationship
that keeps us in balance from a holistic perspective: Body, Soul, and Spirit. In relation to the Earth, the Sun appears
to travel the loop of the analemma yearly. Monthly, the Moon orbits, demonstrating an ebb and flow, a waxing and
waning. In addition to current lunations, there are phases and eclipse patterns
at work to support our goals and intentions.

gradualness and deliberation,

how one gives birth to oneself, slowly."

IMPACT AT PERIGEE
If in doubt about
the impact of celestial bodies on the Earth, go to an ocean and watch the tides. There is physical evidence of the interrelationship
between the Earth, the Moon, and the Sun, which translates into the Body, the Soul, and the Spirit in metaphysical terms.
The Moon has an inconstancy due to its travel in an elliptical orbit around the Earth.
When the Moon is at apogee, the furthest from the Earth, it appears smaller and has less gravitational pull.
When it is at perigee, closest to the Earth, it is brighter, larger, and has more gravitational pull.
A Super Moon, known for extreme effects, swift course, and high tides, occurs when
the Moon is new or full, and at perigee. Earthquakes, eruptions,
and storms are likely, both internally and externally. An additional phenomenon,
occuring in early January, is when the Earth is closest to the Sun, called perihelion. With the Moon orbiting
the Earth, this results in an array of extremes, most noticeably the fast-rising and very high tide or weather patterns. This
year, perihelion occurred on January 3, 2010.
Impact on Haiti:
Haiti is situated along a fault line. The Moon was at
perigee on January 1 (day after lunar eclipse). The Earth was at perihelion on January
3. A solar eclipse occured on the 15th, the visibility of which was very close to Haiti.
Then another Full Moon, at perigee fell on the 30th. One obvious example of this cosmic drama is the earthquake
in Haiti, which occurred on January 12. January, 2010 was a month of weather extremes, internal
and external!
______________
ECLIPSES, 2010
Eclipses occur with regularity over the course of the year, due to the regular movement. During
an eclipse, the Earth, Sun, and Moon align to either block out the solar light (solar eclipse) or the lunar reflection
(lunar eclipse). In 2009, we experienced the Leo-Aquarius and Cancer-Capricorn polarities. In 2010, the Cancer-Capricorn
themes continue.
The Winter Eclipse
January 15, 2010: Solar Eclipse 25+ Capricorn (continuation or resolution from what occurred on New Year's
Eve)
The Summer Eclipses
June 26, 2010: Lunar Eclipse 4 + Cancer
July 11, 2010: Solar Eclipse 19 + Cancer
The Very Late Fall/Winter Solstice Eclipse
December 21, 2010: Lunar Eclipse 29 + Gemini
(Some say this coincides with the end of the Mayan Calendar, 2 years earlier than thought at 2012. We're
in it, folks! A new cycle beginning and blessed by the Divine Feminine. That's nice.)
